Your pickup will be from Rishikesh around 8:00 AM, after which you’ll begin a scenic drive of approximately 265 km towards the picturesque Wan Village, the gateway to the Roopkund Trek. The journey takes you through winding mountain roads, charming Himalayan towns, and alongside the beautiful Alaknanda and Pindar river valleys, offering breathtaking views of dense forests, terraced fields, and snow-capped peaks. Upon reaching Wan by evening, check in to your guesthouse, enjoy a warm dinner, and attend a detailed trek briefing conducted by our experienced and certified trek leaders. Rest well and prepare for the adventure that awaits the next morning.

After an early breakfast, begin your trek from Wan Village, gradually ascending through dense oak and rhododendron forests, crossing charming wooden bridges, and traversing scenic mountain trails. As you gain altitude, the forest opens up to reveal the breathtaking alpine meadows of Ali Bedni Bugyal, one of the largest and most beautiful bugyals in the Himalayas. Surrounded by towering peaks like Trishul and Nanda Ghunti, the expansive grasslands offer spectacular panoramic views and a perfect introduction to the high Himalayas. Continue towards Geruli Patal, where you’ll set up camp for the night. Enjoy evening refreshments, a warm dinner, and an unforgettable overnight stay beneath the star-filled Himalayan sky.

After a refreshing breakfast, begin today’s 7 km trek towards Patar Nachauni, one of the most scenic campsites on the Roopkund trail. The route gradually ascends through the vast alpine meadows of Bedni Bugyal, offering uninterrupted views of towering Himalayan peaks such as Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. As you leave the grasslands behind, the landscape becomes increasingly rugged and dramatic, preparing you for the higher reaches of the trek. Upon reaching Patar Nachauni, enjoy evening refreshments while taking in the breathtaking mountain scenery, followed by a hearty dinner and an overnight stay at the campsite.

After an early breakfast, begin today’s 5 km trek towards Bhagwabasa, the final campsite before the Roopkund summit attempt. The trail steadily climbs through rocky terrain and high-altitude landscapes, gradually leaving behind the lush meadows for a more rugged Himalayan environment. Along the way, enjoy magnificent views of the Trishul Massif, Nanda Ghunti, and the surrounding snow-covered peaks. Upon reaching Bhagwabasa, settle into your campsite and spend the rest of the day resting and acclimatizing for the challenging summit push ahead. Enjoy warm refreshments, a nourishing dinner, and an overnight stay amidst the spectacular high-altitude wilderness.

Begin your summit day well before dawn with an early breakfast and packed lunch before embarking on the challenging 12–14 km trek to the legendary Roopkund Lake (5,029 m). The trail ascends through steep rocky sections, snowfields (depending on the season), and rugged high-altitude terrain, rewarding you with spectacular views of Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, and the surrounding Himalayan ranges. Upon reaching the mysterious glacial lake, famously known as the Skeleton Lake, spend some time soaking in its breathtaking beauty and fascinating history before beginning the descent. Retrace your steps back to Patar Nachauni, where a warm meal and a well-earned rest await after an exhilarating summit day. Overnight stay at the campsite.

After breakfast, begin your 18–19 km descent from Patar Nachauni to Wan Village, retracing the scenic trail through the breathtaking alpine meadows of Bedni Bugyal and Ali Bugyal. As you descend further, the open grasslands gradually give way to dense oak and rhododendron forests, with stunning views of Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, and the surrounding Himalayan ranges accompanying you along the way. Upon reaching Wan Village by evening, check in to your guesthouse, enjoy a delicious dinner, and relax after completing an unforgettable journey through one of the Himalayas’ most iconic trekking trails.

After an early breakfast, bid farewell to the mountains and begin your 265 km scenic drive back to Rishikesh. The journey winds through picturesque Himalayan villages, lush valleys, and alongside the Alaknanda and Pindar river valleys, offering one last chance to soak in the breathtaking beauty of Uttarakhand. As you descend from the high Himalayas into the foothills, cherish the unforgettable memories of alpine meadows, the mysterious Roopkund Lake, and the incredible adventure you’ve shared with fellow trekkers.
