    Frequently Asked Questions

The Panch Kedar Yatra is a spiritual pilgrimage to the five sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in Uttarakhand: Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath, Madhyamaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar. It combines divine devotion with scenic trekking through the Garhwal Himalayas.

The traditional order of visiting the Panch Kedar temples is:
    Kedarnath → Madhyamaheshwar → Tungnath → Rudranath → Kalpeshwar.

The overall yatra is moderate in difficulty. While some temples like Tungnath and Kalpeshwar are relatively easy to access, others like Rudranath and Madhyamaheshwar involve longer treks through forested and hilly terrain.

The complete Panch Kedar Yatra typically takes around 12 days, depending on the route and pace. The Dream Treks offers a well-planned itinerary covering all five shrines comfortably.

The best time for this yatra is from May to October, after the Char Dham temples open and before heavy snowfall begins. The monsoon months (July–August) may bring rain, so be prepared.

While not mandatory, basic fitness and some prior trekking or hiking experience will help, especially for the longer and more remote routes like Rudranath.

We offer a mix of guesthouse stays, homestays, and camping based on the location. All accommodations are clean, comfortable, and located close to the temples or trek routes.

Our package includes transportation, meals, accommodation, experienced guides, trek support staff, temple permits, and basic medical assistance throughout the journey.

Regular walking, stair climbing, or light cardio a few weeks before the yatra will help. Carry suitable trekking shoes, warm clothes, rain protection, personal medicines, and ID proof.

Yes, many senior citizens complete the yatra every year. However, they should be in good health, consult a doctor before the trip, and be prepared for trekking stretches and basic stays.
