The remainder of the day is free to relax, explore Manali, or prepare your personal gear for the expedition ahead. Overnight stay in Manali.

Note: Hotel accommodation is included. Meals and sightseeing in Manali are not included in the package.

Important for Foreign Nationals: A Foreigner Trek Permit is mandatory for the Friendship Peak Expedition. The permit fee of USD 100 per person is payable directly to the The Dream Treks representative upon arrival in Manali.

After breakfast, begin a scenic drive from Manali to Dhundi via Solang Valley, where the trekking adventure officially begins. The trail gradually ascends through lush alpine meadows, glacial streams, and picturesque mountain landscapes before reaching the beautiful campsite of Bakarthach (3,300 m). Throughout the day, enjoy magnificent views of Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, and the surrounding Pir Panjal range. Spend the evening acclimatizing amidst the tranquil Himalayan wilderness before an overnight stay in tents.

Today’s trek takes you higher into the mountains as you ascend towards Lady Leg (3,900 m). The trail passes through expansive alpine meadows, rocky moraines, and glacier-fed streams while offering increasingly dramatic views of the surrounding snow-covered peaks. Upon reaching the campsite, settle into your tents and spend the remainder of the day resting and acclimatizing in preparation for the higher camps ahead. Overnight stay at Lady Leg.

Acclimatization plays a crucial role in the success of any high-altitude expedition. Today, carry essential expedition supplies and camping equipment to the Summit Camp located at approximately 4,750 meters. After depositing the equipment, descend back to Lady Leg for the night. This climb-high, sleep-low strategy helps your body adapt to the altitude while also establishing the higher camp for the summit attempt. Overnight stay at Lady Leg.

After breakfast, leave Lady Leg and make your way to the Summit Camp with your remaining personal gear. The gradual ascent over rocky terrain and snow-covered sections offers breathtaking views of the surrounding glaciers and Himalayan peaks. Upon reaching Summit Camp, organize your equipment, hydrate well, and rest early in preparation for the summit push. Overnight stay at Summit Camp.

The most exciting day of the expedition begins well before sunrise. Equipped with technical mountaineering gear and guided by experienced expedition leaders, begin your summit attempt towards Friendship Peak (5,289 meters). The climb involves traversing snow slopes, glacier sections, and steep alpine terrain before reaching the summit. Standing atop Friendship Peak, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Hanuman Tibba, Shitidhar Peak, the Seven Sisters, Pir Panjal, and the Great Himalayan ranges. After celebrating your successful ascent, carefully descend back to Summit Camp before continuing to Lady Leg for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, begin your descent from Lady Leg to Dhundi, retracing your steps through scenic alpine meadows, glacial streams, and lush valleys. Upon reaching Dhundi, board your vehicle for the drive back to Manali. As your expedition concludes, carry home unforgettable memories of conquering Friendship Peak, experiencing high-altitude mountaineering, and witnessing some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Indian Himalayas.
