The trek is considered easy to moderate, making it ideal for first-time trekkers. The trail is about 12 km one way and takes 5–6 hours to complete.
The best time is from April to June and September to November. Avoid the monsoon season due to slippery trails and potential landslides.
Mobile networks work up to Barshaini, but you may lose signal once you begin the trek. At the top of Kheerganga, signals are generally weak or unavailable.
Yes! One of the highlights of the trek is the natural hot water spring at the top, located next to the Lord Shiva temple. It’s a great way to relax after the hike.
You’ll stay in camps at Kheerganga, with basic bedding and food facilities.
Carry a small backpack, warm clothes, rain protection (if trekking in monsoon months), water bottle, snacks, power bank, and basic medicines. Trekking shoes are highly recommended.
Yes, it is generally safe. The trail is quite popular, and many solo/female travellers do this trek. Still, it’s advised to stay in groups and avoid hiking after dark.
