Trek Itinerary

Your pickup will be from Prince Chowk Dehradun around 7 AM. From there you will embark on an approximately 220 km scenic drive to Kotgaon Village, the starting point of your Trek. Your arrival will be followed by Dinner and a detailed briefing about your trek from our Experienced and Certified Trek Leaders. Rest well and Prepare for your Trek. Overnight stay at Guesthouse in Kotgaon.

After a healthy breakfast, you will drive for approximately 12 km to Taluka Village, from there your trekking journey will start. Today you will be trekking for approximately 12 km to reach Seema. It will be a gradually ascending trail through forest cover of Deodar, Chestnut, Bamboo etc. You will also be crossing the Supin River on the way. Reach Seema Campsite. Overnight camping at Seema.

After your breakfast, get ready to trek for approximately 10 km to reach Devsu Bugyal. The trek will be along the Supin River and you will also witness the confluence of Har ki Dun & Ruinsara River. You will be trekking through forests, meadows and stone covered paths with stunning views of the Black Peak on the way. Cross Devsu Bugyal Meadows and reach Rain Basera. Overnight Camping at Rain Basera.

Today is an exciting day of our trek as you will trek to the beautiful glacial lake, Ruinsara Tal. After your breakfast, embark on an approximately 7 km Trek. You will be trekking through Meadows and Boulders, with moderate ascent. The Ruinsara Lake is surrounded by Rhododendron Blooms and meadows, which amplify it’s beauty. You will get views of Kala Nag, White Peak and Bandarpoonch from the Campsite. Overnight Camping nearby Ruinsara Tal.

Today is a short trek from Ruinsara Tal to Odari, about 4 km. The trek starts with a descent to the Supin River along with dense vegetation and after crossing the river through a bridge, you will descend to a small meadow and continue our trek in the south-east direction along the river. A further walk for about an hour will bring you to Odari. You will also be crossing a river by making human chain. Reach Odari Campsite. Overnight Camping at Odari.

Today, the Trekking distance is shorter, approximately 5 km, but the difficulty level is a little higher as you have to trek across a mountain ridge. It will be a technical ascent overall so be careful and trek carefully, also there will be no water sources on the way so carry enough water on the way. Reach Bali Col Campsite. Overnight Camping at Bali Col.

Today is the Summit Day as we will trek to the highest point of the trek touching an altitude of 16,200 ft. After an early breakfast start your summit push. It is going be a Steep Technical and after that the descent is going to be Technical as well so be prepared for that. Follow your Trek Leader’s and Guide’s instructions carefully, as route after the pass is confusing. After making the summit, you will descend to your next campsite at Lower Dhamni, which is at an elevation of 11,100 ft. Overnight Camping at Lower Dhamni.

This is the last day of your trek and also the end of your journey. The descent down is fairly easy as compared to the other days and there are more descends than ascends through a cement-paved trail. The entire trail takes place through a cemented path and there is a mild ascent till Yamunotri and it will take about 1 to 2 hours to reach Yamunotri temple. Reach Janki Chatti and drive back to Dehradun. Reaching Dehradun marks the ending of your journey.

    Safety Guidelines

    1. Acclimatize Properly

    • The trek reaches 16,207 ft, so allow your body to adjust to the altitude.
    • Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol or smoking.

    2. Dress in Layers

    • Wear thermals, fleece, and a windproof jacket to stay warm.
    • Carry waterproof gloves, socks, and a poncho/rain cover in case of unexpected weather changes.

    3. Follow Trek Leader’s Instructions

    • Always listen to your trek leader and guides.
    • Stick with the group and avoid taking unknown shortcuts.

    4. Be Cautious on Snow & Ice

    • Walk carefully on snow-covered trails to avoid slipping.
    • Use microspikes and gaiters (provided by the organizer) for better grip.

    5. Carry Essential Medications

    • Keep a personal first-aid kit with medicines for altitude sickness, fever, cold, and pain relief.
    • Inform your trek leader about any medical conditions beforehand.

    6. Stay Hydrated & Eat Well

    • Drink at least 2-3 liters of water daily to prevent altitude sickness.
    • Eat nutritious meals to maintain energy levels.

    7. Be Mindful of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness)

    • Symptoms: Headache, nausea, dizziness, breathlessness
    • If you feel uneasy, inform your trek leader immediately.

    8. Pack Smart & Travel Light

    • Carry only essentials; avoid overloading your backpack.
    • A 40-50L backpack with a rain cover is ideal.

    9. Respect the Environment

    • Do not litter; carry your waste back to base.
    • Follow the Leave No Trace principle.

    10. Emergency Preparedness

    • The team carries a medical kit and oxygen cylinder for emergencies.
    • In case of extreme conditions, descent is the best option for safety.

    The ideal time to do this trek is mid-May to June and September to mid-October, when the weather is stable and the trails are accessible.

    No, Bali Pass is not recommended for beginners. It’s a demanding trek and best suited for trekkers who have completed at least one or two high-altitude treks before.

    During the trek, we offer tent accommodation on a twin or triple-sharing basis at scenic campsites. At Kotgaon/Sankri, you’ll stay in comfortable guesthouses or homestays.

    Sankri is around 200 km from Dehradun, accessible by road. We can help you with shared cabs or private transportation from Dehradun, which is well-connected to major cities by train and air.

    Our package includes transport from Dehradun, all meals on the trek, accommodation, experienced trek leaders, permits, safety gear, and support staff including guides.

    Safety is our top priority. We carry oxygen cylinders, first-aid kits, and pulse oximeters. Our team is trained in mountain rescue protocols, and we monitor trekkers’ health regularly during the expedition.

    Please note that AC will not be operational during travel in hilly regions. If you require AC in these areas, you may coordinate directly with the driver. Additional charges may apply.

    Booking Policy

    ✅ Advance Payment:

    • A minimum 30% advance payment is required to confirm your booking.
    • Full payment must be made before the trek starts.

    ✅ Confirmation:

    • Once the payment is received, you will get a confirmation email with trek details.
    • Trek permits and other arrangements will be processed only after full payment.

    ✅ Rescheduling:

    • Rescheduling is allowed only once and must be requested at least 7 days before the trek start date.
    • A rescheduling fee may apply.

    Cancellation Policy

    ✅ Cancellation by the Trekker:

    • 30+ days before the trek: 90% refund of the total amount.
    • 15-30 days before the trek: 50% refund of the total amount.
    • Less than 15 days before the trek: No refund.
    • NO refund will be issued for any booking amount that is less than ₹500.

    ✅ Cancellation by The Dream Treks:

    • In case of unforeseen circumstances (bad weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), The Dream Treks reserves the right to cancel or modify the trek.

    • No refunds will be given for any inclusion not availed by the trekker (meals, transport, stays, etc.).

    ✅ Dropout During Trek:

    • If a participant chooses to leave the trek due to personal reasons, no refund will be provided.
    • Any additional cost due to evacuation or exit will be borne by the participant.
