At the heart of the journey lies the naturally formed Shivalinga, standing tall against the backdrop of the sky. Perched on a ridge surrounded by glaciers and snowfields, it draws thousands of devotees every year — especially during the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra. The energy at the top is intense and humbling, a moment that fuses exhaustion with divine fulfillment.

According to Hindu mythology, this is the very place where Lord Shiva meditated for ages. It is also believed to be the gateway to the mystical land of Kinner Kailash. The trek begins from Jaon Village in the Kullu district and spans over 30–35 kilometers of steep ascents, dense forests, rocky ridges, snowfields, and glacier crossings. With sections like Dandi-Dhar, Parvati Bagh, and Bhim Dwar, this route challenges your strength, stamina, and willpower. But with each challenge comes deeper introspection, stunning Himalayan views, and the unwavering support of fellow pilgrims chanting “Har Har Mahadev!”
