The journey will begin early in the morning from Dehradun, as you are driven through winding mountain roads towards Harsil Valley. Covering approximately 205 km, the scenic drive will pass through picturesque landscapes and charming hill towns. Upon arrival at the hotel in Harsil, you will be welcomed with a warm dinner followed by a detailed tour briefing conducted by the experienced team. The rest of the evening will be left free for rest and acclimatization.
After an early breakfast, the day’s exploration will begin with a short drive to Gartang Gali, followed by a light 2.5 km hike to the iconic wooden bridge set against dramatic cliffs. Later, a visit to Mukhwa Village, known for its spiritual significance and traditional Himalayan charm, will be made. The journey will continue towards Bagori Village, offering a glimpse into the unique local culture and peaceful rural life. After soaking in the beauty and tranquility of the valley, the return to the hotel will be made for dinner and overnight stay.
A spiritual journey awaits, as the day is dedicated to visiting the revered Gangotri Temple, one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand. The drive through the Harsil Valley offers scenic views throughout the 54 km route. After offering prayers and exploring the temple surroundings, you will return to the hotel by evening for rest and relaxation.
After breakfast, a short 2.5 km hike to Lama Top will be undertaken, offering panoramic views of the entire Harsil Valley. Time will be spent enjoying the serene landscape before descending for a 5 km round-trip trek to Sat Tal, a group of seven interconnected alpine lakes. The trail is known for its natural beauty and biodiversity. After returning, guests will head back to the hotel for the night.
The final morning in Harsil will begin with breakfast, after which the return drive to Dehradun will commence. The journey back will be filled with memories of serene valleys, sacred sites, and peaceful Himalayan moments.
