Day 1: Dehradun to Kotgaon (200 km Drive)
Our Pickup will be from Prince Chowk Dehradun, around 7 AM in the morning. From there our Journey will start and you will embark on a 200 km drive to reach our Kotgaon Basecamp. Your arrival will be followed by Dinner and a detailed briefing about your trek from our Experienced and Certified Trek Leaders. Rest well and Prepare for your Trek.
Day 2: Kotgaon to Juda ka Talab (3km Trek)
After an early morning breakfast get ready to start your adventure. Reach Sankri village and embark on an approximately 3 km trek to Juda ka Talab. The Trek will take around 3-4 hours and you will gain an elevation from 6,800 ft to 9,100 ft. After reaching the campsite, hot lunch will be served. Call it a day after the dinner.
Day 3: Juda ka Talab to Odari Basecamp (3 km Trek)
This will be a lighter day. After your breakfast, trek for approximately 3 km to reach Odari Basecamp. You will gain an elevation from 9,100 ft to 11,250 ft. Hot lunch will served at the campsite. Rest early after dinner and start preparing for the Big Day, the Summit Day!
Day 4: Odari Basecamp to Kedarkantha Summit and descend back to Kotgaon
Today is the Highlight of the Trek. Wake up early in the morning around 2 AM and have a light breakfast and Move towards the Kedarkantha summit around 4 AM to witness the most BEAUTIFUL Himalayan Sunrise of your life! Trek for approximately 4 km to reach the Kedarkantha Summit. You will gain an elevation from 11,250 ft to 12,500 ft. After spending some time at the Summit, Descend back to Odari Basecamp for hot lunch and then descend further down to Kotgaon Basecamp. Have your Dinner at Kotgaon and Reminisce about this experience of a lifetime!
Day 5: Kotgaon to Dehradun (200 km Drive)
This day marks the bittersweet ending of your adventure. After a final Breakfast at our Kotgaon Basecamp, get ready to head back to Dehradun and conclude your Trekking Adventure.

1. What is the best time to do the Kedarkantha trek? The best time is December to April for snow-covered trails. However, it can be done year-round, offering different scenic experiences in each season.
2. How difficult is the Kedarkantha trek? It is a moderate trek, suitable for beginners. The ascent is gradual, but cold temperatures and snow can make it slightly challenging.
3. What is the total trekking distance? The trek covers around 20 km (round trip) from Sankri.
4. What is the altitude of Kedarkantha Peak? The summit stands at 12,500 ft (3,810 m) above sea level.
5. What kind of accommodation is provided? Tents are provided on a twin/triple-sharing basis during the trek. Accommodation in Sankri is usually in homestays or guesthouses.
6. How cold does it get during the trek? Temperatures can drop to -5°C to -15°C in winters. Proper layering and warm gear are essential.
7. Is Kedarkantha trek safe for solo travelers? Yes, it is safe for solo trekkers, especially with an organized trekking group. The route is well-marked, and guides are available.
8. Do we need a permit for the trek? Yes, a Govind Wildlife Sanctuary permit is required. If you book with a trekking company, they usually arrange it.
9. Is there network connectivity on the trek? Network is limited. You may get patchy signals in Sankri, but there is no connectivity beyond that.
10. What is the level of fitness required? Basic fitness is needed. It's recommended to prepare with cardio exercises, leg strength training, and endurance workouts before the trek.
