Day 1: Dehradun to Kotgaon/Sankri (200 km Drive)
Your Pickup will be from Prince Chowk Dehradun, around 7 AM in the morning. From there our Journey will start and you will embark on a 200 km drive to reach our Kotgaon or Sankri Basecamp. Your arrival will be followed by Dinner and a detailed briefing about your trek from our Experienced and Certified Trek Leaders. Rest well and Prepare for your Trek.
Day 2: Sankri to Gangaad Campsite via Taluka
After an early morning breakfast get ready to start your adventure. From Sankri village and embark on an approximately 12 km drive to Taluka Village, the starting point of the trek. From there you will trek for about 9 km to reach the first campsite of your trek at Gangaad. Overnight Camping at Gangaad Campsite.
Day 3: Gangaad to Kalkatiyadhar Campsite
After your breakfast, start your trekking journey for the day along the Supin River and through Dense Forests. Today you will be trekking for approximately 12 km to reach the beautiful Kalkatiyadhar Campsite. Have your snacks followed by dinner upon reaching the campsite. Overnight Camping at Kalkatiyadhar Campsite.
Day 4: Kalkatiyadhar to Har ki Dun & back
Today is the Highlight of the Trek as you will be visiting the Beautiful Har ki Dun Valley. You have to trek for approximately 6 km, which would take 4-5 hrs. Reach the Scenic Har ki Dun Valley and soak in the Serenity of the Valley. Return back to Kalkatiyadhar Campsite for Overnight Camping.
Day 5: Kalkatiyadhar to Gangaad via Osla
After your breakfast, embark on a approximately 12 km trek back to Gangaand Campsite. This time you will pass through the ancient village of Osla, which is a good opportunity to explore the local culture. Reach Gangaad for Overnight Camping.
Day 6: Gangaad to Kotgaon/Sankri via Taluka
Have your breakfast and embark on an approximately 9 km trek back to Taluka village. From there drive back 12 km to reach Sankri/Kotgaon. Overnight stay at Sankri/Kotgaon BaseCamp.
Day 7: Kotgaon/Sankri to Dehradun (200 km Drive)
This day marks the bittersweet ending of your adventure. After a final Breakfast at our Kotgaon/Sankri Basecamp, get ready to head back to Dehradun and conclude your Trekking Adventure.

1. What is the best time to do the Har Ki Dun trek? The best time is April to June (pleasant weather and blooming flowers) and September to December (clear mountain views and winter snow).
2. How difficult is the Har Ki Dun trek? It is a moderate trek, suitable for beginners with good fitness. The long trekking distances can be slightly challenging.
3. What is the total trekking distance? The trek covers around 47 km (round trip) from Sankri.
4. What is the altitude of Har Ki Dun Valley? Har Ki Dun is situated at 11,675 ft (3,558 m) above sea level.
5. What kind of accommodation is provided? Tents are provided on a twin/triple-sharing basis during the trek. Accommodation in Sankri is usually in homestays or guesthouses.
6. How cold does it get during the trek? Temperatures can drop to 0°C to -5°C in winter and stay around 5°C to 15°C in summer. Layered clothing is essential.
7. Is Har Ki Dun trek safe for solo travelers? Yes, it is safe for solo trekkers, especially with an organized trekking group. Guides and trek leaders ensure safety throughout the trek.
8. Do we need a permit for the trek? Yes, a Forest Permit is required as the trek passes through the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary. If you book with a trekking company, they usually arrange it.
9. Is there network connectivity on the trek? Mobile network is available in Sankri, but connectivity is weak or non-existent during the trek.
10. What is the level of fitness required? Basic fitness is needed. It's recommended to prepare with cardio exercises, leg strength training, and endurance workouts before the trek.
