Day 1: Rishikesh to Chopta (170 km Drive)
Our Pickup will be from Rishikesh, around 8:00 AM in the morning. From there our Journey will start and you will embark on an approximately 170 km scenic drive to reach Chopta, the starting point of the trek. Your arrival will be followed by Dinner and a detailed briefing about your trek from our Experienced and Certified Trek Leaders. Rest well and Prepare for your Trek.
Day 2: Chopta to Chandrashila via Tungnath and back to Chopta
After an early morning breakfast get ready to start your adventure. Embark on an approximately 4 km trek to the Highest Shiva Temple in the World, Tungnath. After spending some time at the temple, hike for 1 km to reach the Chandrashila Summit and be rewarded with a 360 degree view of the Garhwal Himalyas. Soak in the serenity of the Chandrashila summit, have your packed lunch and descend back to Chopta. After reaching back have your dinner and enjoy your evening at Chopta.
Day 3: Chopta to Rishikesh via Deoriatal
This will be the last day of your trek. After your breakfast, you will embark on a short drive to Sari village, from there you will start a short hike of approximately 4 km to Deoriatal. Spend some time at Deoriatal and then return to Sari village for your drive back to Rishikesh. Reminisce about the journey you've had on the way back and reach Rishikesh by evening.

1. What is the best time to do the Chopta Chandrashila trek? The trek is accessible year-round. For snow-covered trails, visit December to March, while April to June offers lush greenery. The post-monsoon season (September-November) provides crystal-clear mountain views.
2. How difficult is the Chopta Chandrashila trek? It is an easy to moderate trek, making it suitable for beginners. However, the final ascent to Chandrashila peak is steep and can be challenging, especially in winter.
3. What is the total trekking distance? The trek covers around 10-12 km (round trip) from Chopta to Chandrashila via Tungnath.
4. What is the altitude of Chandrashila Peak? The summit stands at 13,000 ft (4,000 m) above sea level, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas.
5. What kind of accommodation is available? Accommodation in Chopta includes guesthouses, camps, and homestays. On the trek, no dedicated camping is available near Tungnath, but Chopta serves as a base.
6. How cold does it get during the trek? Winter temperatures can drop to -5°C to -10°C, while summers are pleasant with temperatures between 5°C to 15°C.
